December 30, 2011 The Anaheim Senior Center finished up its fourth Bobble Ball season playing every Friday morning at the center from 9:00-11:00. Going into today's tournament, both the Third Place and Wildcard position were up for grabs meaning that if the right people won, there would be two winners in these two categories. Beyond all statistical odds, the correct two people won the exact positions in today's tournament so that we have two 2011 third place and wildcard winners! Amazing!!!! November 2, 2011 Madison Avenue Christian Cadet Club in Paterson, New Jersey enjoyed some competitive Bobble Ball Hand Billiard Bowling after a Gospel Trick Shot show presented to the group by Steve Lillis. Pastor Algera wrote, "This was a new way to use a pool table the boys had never experienced and they had a great time playing Bobble Ball. We look forward to playing more!"
October 31, 2011 Happy Halloween! Bobble Ball was one of the featured activities at the Fullerton YMCA. The playing was fun, but I also enjoyed my trips to the snack table for crackers/salami/cheese and, of course, orange and black decorated cupcakes!
September 26, 2011 Congratulations to Susie at the Cypress Senior Center on her first place finish in the Bobble Ball tournament! We all had a fun time ... In fact, the Cypress players have officially challenged the Anaheim Senior Center players and a tournament date for November is being planned.
September 20, 2011 "Sense of Pride" club at Magnolia High School features Bobble Ball during lunch time and the kids had a great time ... especially the three that beat their math teacher!!!! Thanks to the club sponsor "OC Human Relations" for once again inviting us out.
September 2, 2011 Our new First Thursday of Every Month Bobble Ball Tournament at Aloha Family Billiards filled up 7 tables last night and everyone had a blast. We had 4 "regular" players that couldn't make it so that we almost filled up 9 tables! Congrats to Bud, Mark, and Fred who came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all with 19 wins! Only the points separated them! Bobble Ball was also a featured activity last week at the Fullerton YMCA "Game Day!" Everyone had a Bobble Ball Blast!
July 22, 2011 Eggland's Best Eggs held a photo contest and of course Bobble Ball had to offer a submission which we appropriately entitled: "A Toss Up Between Nutrition & Fun." Eggland's Best Eggs give you the nutrition needed to play fun Bobble Ball pool table games.

June 12, 2011 - Weekly Recap 6-6 through 6-12 A Bobble Ball welcome to Aloha Family Billiards new players Chad and Kevin AND Anaheim Community Senior Center new players Soon and Song. Bobble Ball provided fun entertainment for the crowd who attended the annual "Summer Tune Up" Custom Car Show and Health and Wellness Fair event at the Emerald Court Senior Living Complex in Anaheim. This is our fifth year at this event and it is always bobble among the community.
6-3-11 Cypress Senior Center enjoys a Bobble Ball tournament so much that they have already scheduled the next one for July 18th. Notice that even those in a wheel chair can compete with the best of the players (and I think she even placed in the top three!)

February - 2011 Memorial services were held this month for our friend, Ernie Bingaman. Ernie was one of the early pioneers in Bobble Ball as he played in the very first Bobble Ball league in 2007 and was a faithful competitor in our weekly Friday games and monthly Wednesday games. In fact, even though his vision was seriously impaired due to a pituitary tumor, Ernie played in two Bobble Ball events less than a week before his surgery from which he did not recover. Ernie was the overall Bronze Medal winner at the 2010 Southland Senior Olympic Bobble Ball event, but Ernie holds the Gold Medal in all of our hearts.

Fred R. won the $50 first place prize, Ramin B. won the $40 second place prize, Bud won the $30 third place prize and we always pay out a wildcard prize which is "third to last place." October 26, 2010 Bobble Ball will be one of the entertainment activities at the Southland Senior Olympics Kickoff celebration on Wednesday October 27th as well as an "official" event where Bobble Ball Hand Billiard Bowling players will be competing for a gold, silver, and bronze medal on Thursday October 28th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Downtown Anaheim Senior Center. The gold medalist in 2008 and 2009 was Fred Robledo. Check back to see if he holds his position in 2010!!!

October 14, 2010 Steve Lillis through Gospel Trick Shot Ministries, Inc. travels world wide as well as nationally performing "Trick Shots With a Life Message." This week, Steve is performing a series of college Gospel Trick Shot Shows and Bobble Ball events at Nassau Community College on Long Island, NY through the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF) club on campus. In two weeks, Steve will be at William Paterson University in Wayne NJ with IVCF and then the following week at Kean University in Union NJ with Campus Crusade for Christ campus club.

September 10, 2010 Lois, from Reaching Out Through Heart (R.O.T.H) ministry located in Sandusky, Ohio, called today to let me know that her outreach program of introducing Bobble Ball to both youth and senior venues is growing quickly. The kids at the Boys & Girls Club and the seniors at the Ohio Veteran's Home and Nursing Home in Claremont County are just some of the locations that are now bobbling and her calendar is filling up quickly! Her response.... "If only we had more pool tables!"

On October 11th, 12th, and 13th, we are sponsoring a Bobble Ball activity at three of our local high schools at the YMCA Anaheim Achieves after school program! We will take our seven Bobble Ball tables to each school and watch as the kids have a Bobble Blast!

Received the following email this morning from Kathy C. in Tampa Florida: "I wanted to tell you!!! Our grandchildren LOVE Bobble Ball! We have slightly modified it for children ages 2, 3, 4, and 5. They form teams. Each team stands on chairs at the pool table facing each other with Bobble Ball in the center of the table. Each child has the same number of balls. They take turns rolling the pool balls toward Bobble Ball and the one who comes closest wins! When they win, they win the ball and get to put it in their team "pocket." I have to tell you that they are really, really getting good at judging how hard (or soft) they need to roll the ball to win! The one who gets their ball closest to Bobble Ball wins the point! When they come to our house, they make a bee line for the pool room and take their shoes off and say, "We want to play Bobble Ball." Just thought you might like to know...... :)"
